Account Executive-New Business: Candidate will be expected to prepare & pitch creative multi-platform sales presentations utilizing all assets of the company. Successful candidate will be expected to pitch and close new business on a daily basis. Close interaction with clients and agency partners will be expected inside and outside of normal business hours, business entertainment is expected. Maintain timely paper work and reports related to sales activities. Excellent and detailed service of all accounts expected. Maintain strong market knowledge, including awareness of all potential business, market conditions, economic climate, market competitive, station inventory, promotional opportunities. Other duties as deemed appropriate and as assigned. Candidate preferred to have 1-2 years of advertising sales experience. Locally established client relationships would be preferred. Candidate must have excellent communication, negotiation, organizational skills. Candidate must be highly motivated to overcome challenges, be creative and solution oriented. Industry knowledge and the ability to function as part of a team are also critical. College degree preferred and candidates are required to demonstrate skills related to word, excel & power-point.

Account Executive: Candidate will present and sell WFLD/WPWR-TV. Prepare sales presentations and maintain all paper work/reports related to sales activities, and properly service all accounts. Candidate will directly present and sell WFLD/WPWR-TV. Prepare sales presentations and maintain all paper work/reports related to sales activities, and properly service all accounts. Exceed assigned revenue budget. Service accounts and developing new business within advertising agencies and clients directly. Obtain all aspects of potential business, including competitive rates, market conditions, station conditions, advertiser budgets, CPM’s, etc. Negotiate rates and manage stewardship of all accounts. Other duties as deemed appropriate and as assigned.

Graphics Artist: Candidate will create and produce broadcast graphics for daily newscasts, promotion, sales and other station related projects. Responsible for design and layout of print ads as assigned. Create web graphics as necessary. May be involved in the production of station brochures other station materials. Must perform all other duties as deemed appropriate and assigned. This is a Union position the candidate must be a member of NABET local 41. Candidate must have experience in creation and development of news and/or entertainment promotion graphics; specifically with Mac/PC based hardware and software. Must be able to show hands on experience using Adobe Systems 4 graphic design software (such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PhotoShop, and After Effects.) Must have 2-3 years graphic design experience for broadcast or cable TV. Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from an accredited college or design school required. Will be working a flexible schedule as determined by the department head as well as working in a team environment under tight deadlines.

Promotions Producer: Candidate will write and produce, edit scripts, video and sound content for entertainment, sports, and newscast promotions. Must have strong writing and copy-editing abilities, strong communication and people skills, and nonlinear video editing experience. Required to develop and assemble content in a logical and creative fashion, work under pressure, and meet strict deadlines. Brings in original promotion ideas and executes them skillfully. Must be self-motivated and able to work without supervision. Coordinates syndicated episodic promotions. When working with news promotion, works closely with newsroom staff, attending and contributing to editorial meetings. Orders and reviews graphics, takes announcer feeds, and coordinates coverage with reporters. Completes promotions logs and communicates with master control when changes are necessary. Good and quick decision maker. Must perform all other duties as deemed appropriate and assigned. Candidate must have 2-5 years major market writing/producing experience as well as experience with on-line research. College degree and computer knowledge required. Working knowledge of AVID Media Composer preferred. Must be hard working, creative and willing to learn.
