CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
State House Speaker Mike Madigan says he wants suburban and downstate taxpayers to pay up.
Chicagoans pay about $160 more per year in property taxes than people in the suburbs and downstate to pay for state pension plans.
Madigan says he wants non-Chicago communities to start paying for their pensions themselves, to help solve the state's $84 billion pension debt crisis.
