CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
On Monday's Chat Room, consultant Rochelle Trotter and the Sun-Times' Susanna Negovan spoke about teen girls' grooming and the Taste of Chicago.
Last week, a national spa chain came under fire for ads targeting girls under 15 for bikini waxes.
Rochelle said that girls should be able to make their own choices when it comes to personal hygiene.
Susanna said that girls are being responsive to the media influences around them, and there's nothing wrong with waxing for teens.
Taste of Chicago "light" begins this week, with a scaled-down version of the annual food fest; it's half as long and has half the vendors. Will you still go?
Rochelle said there is no way she's going to the Taste no matter what they do - she doesn't enjoy the festival, but she applauds the city's effort to get costs under control.
Susanna said she appreciates what the mayor is doing and might go back for the first time in a decade, especially to try first-time Taste vendor Karyn's vegan fare.
