CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn has granted clemency to 43 people convicted of crimes in Illinois.

The cases include drug, weapon, and burglary charges.

Quinn denied 102 clemency petitions Friday.

The governor's office receives hundreds of requests for pardons every year.

Since Quinn took office, he has granted 761 clemency requests and denied over 1,300.
