CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

EARL BENNETT #80 Wide Receiver

DOB: March 23, 1987

6'0", 206 lbs.

5th season / Vanderbilt

Bio-  As Chicago's third round draft pick in 2008, the Bears have always seen Earl Bennett as a strong target in their passing game. Last season, Bennett missed five games due to Achilles injury, but averaged nearly 16 yards per reception (a career high). Bennett also performed in the clutch in 2011, converting all six receptions on third downs into first downs. As injuries have been a part of the reason his numbers have gone since 2009, Earl plans on being 100 percent in 2012 along with a healthy quarterback. An Alabama native, Bennett has volunteered time to his hometown community in Birmingham.

Lou Canellis

Lou's CallHas some of the best hands in football. Bennett is the perfect slot guy with Hester and Marshall. Last years chest injury cost him six games but Lovie Smith knows how important Bennett is to this offense. Despite missing over a third of the 2011 season thus settling for only 24 catches, Bennett still nabbed a four year $18 million contract extension from the Bears. This season, Bennett will live up to the money.

Tom Waddle

Tom's TakeEarl is an excellent slot receiver.  With the addition of Marshall and Jeffrey, he can slide inside and focus on the job he's best suited for.  His familiarity with Jay with also continue to pay big dividends. I expect a very good year from Earl.

Dionne Miller

Dionne's ViewFor all the comments made about Cutler's chemistry with Marshall there should be the footnote he's had that with Earl Bennett since they were in college. One of the main reasons Cutler and EB are among the leagues most efficient QB-WR duos. That should continue.
