CHICAGO (My50 Chicago) -
This past February The City of Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events started the process to develop a cultural plan for The City of Chicago.
The last plan was developed more than 25 years ago under Mayor Harold Washington.
On July 16th, after months of asking residents, cultural organizations and community groups for their input The City of Chicago released the Draft Chicago Cultural Plan 2012.
The "Black Harvest Film Festival" is in its 18th year and is the Midwest's largest and longest running festival dedicated to telling the stories of the Black experience.
