You can be sure to eat and drink your way through this weekend with local tastes from Chicago and Greece and enjoy craft brews at the zoo.
Just don't lose your inhibitions and fall into the bear cage. Ron Burgundy won't be here to save you.
You won't need your Twitter app to help you find these usually mobile eats at this West Town fest. More than 13 food trucks including Tamalespaceship, Belly Bomber, Beavers Donuts, Starfruit, Bergstein's Deli, Sweet Ride and Taquero Fusion are on site selling their grub. Food Truck Social Chicago Ave between Wood and Wolcott (foodtrucksocialchicago.com). Noon–10pm; $5.
While Taste of Grease may describe most summer festivals, this celebration of Greek food, music and dancing will still sate your appetite. Taste of Greece 100–400 S Halsted St (847-509-8050, greektownchicago.org). Noon–11pm. Free.
Lagers, tigers and beers. Oh, my. More than 40 craft beers from 14 breweries will spend a day at the zoo. A live music and a silent auction will hopefully keep you from feeding the animals. Tickets for 20 three-ounce samples, a tasting glass and parking are included with admission. Zoo Brew Brookfield Zoo, 3300 Golf Rd, Brookfield (708-688-8000, czs.org). 4–8pm; $45, zoo members $35.
