CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
It's a race for the White House for Mitt Romney and President Obama, but a lot of discussion has surrounded the women in their lives.
On Tuesday night, Mrs. Obama's $400 Tracy Reese dress was trending on online searches and social media. The dress was praised as being beautifully fitted and contemporary.
Last week, Ann Romney appeared on stage in a $200 soft and floaty Oscar de la Renta dress. De la Renta has designed dresses for every first lady since Nancy Reagan, except for Michelle Obama.
Of course, there were the speeches themselves. The candidates' wives' speeches are calculated for political effect. After all, they're delivered at political conventions.
Both Mrs. Romney and Mrs. Obama gave very personal and heartfelt speeches about their husbands and families.
So, how much do the contenders for first lady affect your vote for president? Speech against speech and dress against dress, who has helped their husband's campaign more? Was Ann Romney's presentation in Tampa or Michelle Obama's speech in Charlotte better?
