Red Bull Flugtag to make a splash at North Ave. beach

Look out below at North Avenue beach September 8th!
Red Bull's Flugtag even is in town, where people compete in flying machines that really don't fly that well.
35 teams from all over the Midwest are competing, including students from Northwestern University who have an entry based on the Magic School Bus kids TV show. But magic or not, the bus is ending up in the water.
They'll be judged on their creativity, showmanship, and how far their contraption flies.
The competition starts at 1 p.m. and is free to get in.
