PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a man is in custody in connection with the fatal stabbing of his younger brother.

Phoenix police say 49-year-old Roosevelt Mitchell Jr. is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder.

He's accused of stabbing 47-year-old Kelvin Mitchell during a backyard fight Sunday night.

Police say Kelvin Mitchell was taken to a Phoenix hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

They say the knife believed to have been used in the incident has been recovered and the investigation is continuing.

Authorities didn't immediately know Monday if Roosevelt Mitchell has a lawyer yet.
